Lithuanian Film Studios (LFS) is asking the government to donate 500,000 Litas to create a chronicle about country‘s life, BNS reported.

LFS expects the government to invest 0,48 million Litas from country‘s annual budget next year. The amount of money contributed in 2009 was less than 100 thousand Litas.

LFS stated that the most impressive events of 2009 were left out of the camera‘s eye because of the poor funding. For instanse, many events of Vilnius – Cultural Capital of Europe 2009 were not filmed.

According to BNS, film studios said that only the presidential election and inauguration, the presentation of new European Parliament members and fragments of some cultural events were filmed.
